About Cecile
Sitting at the bench, I hear the distinct resonance of the strings before a single note is struck. Having taught 80 students across 8 years of experience, I emphasize that singing and playing are a two-way street where pianists learn to phrase like vocalists.
My instruction covers rhythm and timing, music theory, pedaling technique, and pop or contemporary styles. I also guide you through dynamics, expression, sight reading, ABRSM or Trinity grade exam prep, and complex chord voicing. Classical repertoire remains a pillar of my teaching as I help you connect physically to the instrument.

Starting with your first session, we examine how your hands move across the keys as we explore the mechanics of your chosen pieces. I draw on my BMus degree to help you cultivate a professional sound through steady, rhythmic control and deliberate practice habits. My 8 years of experience inform the way I break down difficult passages into manageable segments for students of any level.
You will find that playing with intention makes the most complex arrangements feel accessible and natural under your fingers. I look forward to helping you refine your artistry with consistent, clear guidance throughout our sessions.
