About André

I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and I recently graduated from Computer Science at the Federal University of Paraná, in Curitiba. I'm a fluent english speaker since I was a child, scoring 8 in the IELTS test and 970 in the TOEIC test, and I spent a year overseas as an exchange student where I exclusively used english. Therefore, I believe I am capable of helping english speakers to also learn my native language.

About the lesson

I strive to adapt to the needs of my students, so I can either use study material that they already own, or assist them in finding such materials that help them reach their goals. I believe the most efficient way to properly get a grasp of a language is constant practice, so I try to practice conversation with my students as part of my classes. I also offer translation services, given that I am capable of translating in business and scientific level. I have previously published a scientific article in english, and my graduation essay was made in portuguese, so I have experience and competence in both languages for such tasks.

Details

Transportation costs are calculated based on the bus fare for a two way trip to the student's place of choice. This can be altered in case it is or not necessary, depending on the distance to be traversed.

In case classes are cancelled with forewarning (at max 1 hour before the scheduled time) no additional costs are incurred. In case the class has to be interrupted, the transportation costs are charged, along with the calculated value of how much of the class was given.
