About Andrew
I moved to the UK from Ireland in 2023 to study nutrition and dietetics at the University of Hull. I have extensive experience of the health care setting as a patient which has reinforced my skills as a Dietitian. I previously worked in nutrition research and have some experience in business through my role in a start up supplement testing company. I am a people person at heart and throughout my Masters degree I supported classmates with individual and group revision sessions and tutored a first year dietetics student when I was in my final year of study. I have been consistently praised throughout my University studies at home and abroad for my writing acumen and keen eye for detail. I have a gentle but decisive leadership style that developed from my experience as a volunteer football coach where realistic goals were very important and I extensively committed to weekly preparations in my spare time which led to a successful project before I stepped away from my role.
My tutoring style is very much shaped from this and I have an ability to adjust to individual personalities, knowing the right time to push people, always analysing to assess whether they are progressing as desired.

Tutoring for dietetic students to help with course content around medical conditions being studied as part of their course, dietetic approaches, OSCE advice and practice, dietetic styles, guidance on placement, research, audits and sevice evaluation, and hitting milestones on your course.
Public health and health promotion students welcome for tutoring on course content, understanding broader health concepts, research, structuring assignments, social determinants of health, individual health areas (e.g. sexual health, nutrition, physical activity) and holistic management, writing policies and proposals, and creating health promotion campaigns.
