About Kevin

I graduated from the University of Warwick in 2021 with a BSc (Hons) in Economics, where I focused on modules like Mathematical Techniques, Statistical Techniques, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, and Corporate Finance.

Professionally, I have gained extensive experience in the investment banking and hedge fund space, having worked in roles such as a Junior Credit Trader at Muzinich & Co and Credit Trader/ Junior Portfolio Manager at Nevastar Finance (boutique Swiss Hedge Fund), where I traded high-value corporate bonds and derivatives and more recently at BGC Group in electronic credit trading. Additionally, I’ve completed internships at major firms like Morgan Stanley and Citigroup, honing my skills in trading and market analysis.

Outside of work, I am passionate about entrepreneurship, having managed a successful drop-shipping business, and I have a keen interest in sports, particularly cricket and football.

Tutoring allows me to give back by helping students navigate complex topics and develop confidence in their abilities, something I find deeply rewarding given my own academic and professional journey.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach focuses on personalized learning, adapting each lesson to the student’s needs and learning style while using scaffolded teaching methods to break down complex concepts into manageable steps.

I employ active learning techniques, encouraging students to engage with the material through questions, problem-solving, and real-world examples, while providing regular feedback to track progress.

Lessons typically last 60 minutes, though this can be adjusted based on the student's focus and age. With extensive tutoring experience across Maths, Further-Maths and Economics (60 hours+) and a strong foundation in economics, maths and statistics, I work with a wide range of students, from GCSE to A-Level students.
