About Rod
My name is Rod, and I am a certified tutor for Business English (40-hour) and TEFL/TESOL (150-hour).
I have many years of experience in Education, Training and Development (ETD) and Management: in the fields of Health, Roads, Housing construction, Event and activity organising, Organised Labour and Air-conditioning (HVAC).
I specialise in one-on-one online tutoring and tailor-made courses to fit my student requirements. It is always my recommendation to focus on the students' urgent requirements sharply, eg writing & answering emails, taking meeting minutes, handling conflicts, etc.
Teaching is my passion, and for me, there is nothing more satisfying than seeing my students succeed in their careers or ventures after successful mentoring!

In our first session, we get to know each other and decide which Business English language skills you wish to focus on. Examples include: the tourism industry, tour management and marketing focus, related customer service, meetings, business communication, emails and reports, e-commerce, networking, introductions and small talk, CV writing, fluency, socialising, marketing, presentations, pitching and persuading, etc.
My lessons are student-centred and attractively laid out, mostly on PowerPoint. The duration of sessions will be agreed upon with you. Each lesson has an objective, and you will receive handouts for revision.
I focus on tutoring adult business professionals who are at levels B1 to C1.
