I am an undergraduate student at Durham University studying BA Business and Management- my interests and expertise lie primarily in the theory and financial side of the subject. I'm keen to share my knowledge and passion for business and spark a similar interest in my students.

Always starting my lessons with a warm-up activity, I aim to keep my students engaged and active during my lessons. I like to encourage a more verbal approach to lessons to engage students in discussion, combined with some application and exam questions. As business studies is a combination of numbers, theory and essay writing, I am conscious that each student has differing strengths and weaknesses, so I try my best to gauge this over the course of the lessons and adapt my teaching style accordingly. Primarily, my teaching is centred around contextual thinking; case studies and application of theory to exam questions, for example. I try to bring in current events wherever possible (topical mergers, acquisitions etc.) The ultimate aim is that students will develop adaptable skills in the subject so that they are able to apply their knowledge in exam situations.
