About Brandon
I hold a PhD in English literature from the University of Cambridge and have written numerous essays and book-length literary studies, including, most recently, a monograph on Wordsworth and Ireland (Cambridge University Press, forthcoming in 2026). I grew up with both English and Chinese and studied for my first degree at National Taiwan University. I spent two years working as a postdoctoral fellow in Ireland and am now permanently based in England.
I write in both English and Chinese. In addition to literary research, in recent years I have taught Chinese-English translation and supervised dissertations for the MA in Chinese Health and Humanity at University College London. I am a longstanding Chinese-to-English translator for the bilingual cultural magazine Taiwan Panorama. Other recent clients include the National Archives (UK).

I enjoy teaching Chinese-related content with a cultural dimension, including essay writing, reading, and literary translation. I teach undergraduates and adults already equipped with a sound understanding of both English and Chinese.
