About Charne
I must admit that the most effective warm-ups are often the ones that feel slightly silly at first. Personalization is the key to vocal health. I provide free access to my breathing and warm-up exercise notes for all my students.
We explore vibrato control and rhythm and phrasing during every session. My 13 years of experience inform how I structure our time together.

Performance-focused students often tell me they feel most vulnerable when they first stand before an audience. I remember the exact feeling of my first solo performance in a crowded hall. My 13 years of experience allow me to guide intermediate learners through the nuances of head and chest voice. We work on diction, articulation, and vocal range extension to ensure you feel secure.
I incorporate sight singing and harmony singing into our weekly routine. Having earned a BMus from the UBC School of Music, I emphasize healthy technique above all else. My studio is a space for growth, patience, and artistic discovery. I am always listening for that moment when a student finds true freedom in their sound.
