About Paige

For the past 7 years, I have been teaching the trumpet to school and college students with dedication and enthusiasm. My experience has taught me that every student has unique strengths, and my responsibility is to help them discover and develop those strengths through supportive and engaging lessons.

I believe learning music should be enjoyable, inspiring, and rewarding. My teaching focuses on building strong basics before introducing advanced skills. Students learn breathing techniques, posture, embouchure, tone production, articulation, rhythm, scales, music reading, ear training, and performance preparation. I also include practical music theory to strengthen their overall understanding.

A significant milestone in my career has been seeing students perform with confidence after overcoming challenges they once believed were impossible. Their improvement reminds me why I chose teaching as my career. Every student's success motivates me to continue providing high-quality lessons that are both educational and enjoyable.

I create a friendly learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. I encourage regular practice, positive thinking, and consistent improvement. My lessons are adapted to each student's goals, whether they are preparing for exams, auditions, performances, or simply learning for personal enjoyment.

My passion for education continues to inspire me every day. I want every student to leave my lessons feeling more confident, more skilled, and more excited about music. Together, we work toward steady progress while enjoying every step of the musical journey.

About the lesson

Every trumpet lesson is designed to encourage creativity, discipline, and continuous improvement while building a strong technical foundation. Students begin with breathing techniques, posture, embouchure formation, articulation, rhythm, scales, tone development, and music reading before progressing to advanced topics such as lip slurs, flexibility, endurance, range development, phrasing, dynamics, sight reading, orchestral excerpts, jazz improvisation, and advanced solo performance.

Lessons also include music theory, listening exercises, performance coaching, and personalized practice plans that help students overcome challenges and achieve their musical goals. I strive to create a supportive environment where learning remains enjoyable and motivating.
