About Esther

I have 5 years of tutoring experience and specialise in designing curriculum for ESL, teaching English as a second language, English language and literature (at all levels), and IELTS/Pearson exam preparation.
- I taught and designed the English curriculum for two employability programs for upper secondary school students in Dignity for Children (an NGO): ASET (Advanced Secondary Employability Training) and ELL (English Language Learners).
- I tutor English online to students of all ages (children-adults) and levels (beginner-advanced). As of 2021, I have taught over 500 hours, and my average rating is 9.8/10.
- In my second year at university, I gave weekly one-on-one tutoring in GCSE English and English Literature.
- In 2016, I taught English at a sports and language camp in Greece for a month. I taught an average of 3 hours every day, to students of varying ages (6-16 years) and abilities. As I was working with limited materials, I came up with language games and fun roleplay activities.
- During my A-levels, I gave weekly one-on-one tutoring in Math/English to Form 1-3 students at a school in Kuala Lumpur.

- You'll be getting lessons from someone who is not only a native English speaker, but someone who has graduated top of their cohort in English Literature and achieved a Cambridge Teaching Certificate in English, and taught over 500 hours online to students of all ages and abilities in China and Taiwan. I bring first-hand experience to the table: be it in English language learning, test preparation, assignments etc., and am able to help you achieve your learning goals.

- Beyond the focus on achieving your learning goals, I believe in equipping you with the necessary skills to become an independent learner. After learning with me, my guarantee is that you will be much more confident in your learning abilities and a much more critical thinker too.

Error Correction & Feedback
- No one is perfect! But making mistakes shouldn't be something to be afraid of either. Through interactive and personalised learning with me, feedback will be a constant. I provide a detailed feedback report including areas for development after lesson packages (Available upon request).
