Hello! I am a passionate, certified teacher holding a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.), a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), and a British Columbia Teaching Certificate.
With over 8 years of classroom and one-on-one teaching experience, I understand how young learners think and learn. I focus on creating a supportive, encouraging, and patient learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions and learn from mistakes. About the lesson

Are math equations or science concepts feeling overwhelming for your child? I believe every student can excel when topics are broken down into clear, visual, and relatable steps.
My goal is to build strong foundational knowledge, eliminate subject anxiety, and nurture genuine confidence aligned with the BC school curriculum.
What I Cover:
• Elementary Math (Grades 1–5): Number sense, addition/subtraction strategies, multiplication, division, fractions, and word problems.
• Middle School Math (Grades 6–8): Pre-algebra, integers, ratios, percentages, geometry, and equations.
• Elementary & Middle Science: Living systems, matter, energy, earth sciences, and scientific inquiry.
• Homework help, test preparation, and gap-filling.
My Approach:
Identify specific learning gaps rather than rushing.
Use structured, step-by-step guided practice ("I do, We do, You do").
Provide regular updates to parents on progress and milestones.

My basic rate is $30/hr for lessons at my home or online. For lessons at the student's home, an extra 5–10$ travel fee applies depending on distance. The 1st session 30–45 min free so we can assess your child's goals and discuss a customized learning plan
