About Juan Jose

I also hold a Master’s Degree in Sustainable Tourism. I love blending this knowledge with my lessons to help children discover our beautiful planet from a respectful and eco-conscious point of view. Through fun activities, we explore different cultures, geography, and nature, teaching them how to be responsible global citizens while they learn.

My teaching journey includes 2 years in the United States, where I specialized in teaching Spanish to elementary school children (ages 6-8).

I understand that children, especially 5 and 6 year olds learn best when they are active, motivated, and having fun.

I don't just hand out worksheets. I use visual materials, educational games, and positive reinforcement to make sure your child looks forward to every session.

About the lesson

Hi! I am a certified, passionate educator from Spain recently relocated to Toronto. With over 6 years of professional teaching experience in Europe, I specialize in the most critical stages of a child's development: Early Childhood (ages 3-6) and Elementary Education (ages 6-12).

My goal is to make learning an exciting adventure. Whether your child wants to learn Spanish as a Second Language or needs help catching up with school subjects, mastering reading and math basics, I tailor every single lesson to their unique personality and learning style. What I offer:

-Play-Based Learning for Little Ones (Ages 3-6): Interactive Spanish immersion, phonics, and motor skills through games, storytelling, and songs.

-Elementary Academic Support (Ages 6-12): Homework help, organization skills, and confidence-building in any school subject.

-Spanish for Kids (All levels): conversational and natural approach tailored for Canadian kids.

Base Rate: $45 / hour
(Note: Rates can be discussed and adjusted depending on your specific circumstances, frequency of lessons, or if you have multiple children).

Travel Policy: Within my local area / short transit: No extra travel fee.

Long-distance travel: A small travel fee ($7 - $10 per session) may apply if the commute via TTC/walking takes longer than 30-40 minutes from my location. We can easily agree on this before our first official lesson!
