About Karima

Hello! I'm Karima Gadhia, a Certified Jolly Phonics Trainer and Early Childhood Educator with over 12 years of experience helping young children build strong foundations in reading, spelling, writing, and communication skills.

I am passionate about making learning enjoyable, engaging, and meaningful for every child. Using the proven Jolly Phonics methodology and a multisensory teaching approach, I help children develop confidence in their literacy skills while fostering a lifelong love for learning.

My classes are carefully structured to suit each child's individual learning pace and needs. I believe that every child can become a successful reader when provided with the right guidance, encouragement, and learning environment. Alongside teaching, I work closely with parents by sharing progress updates and practical strategies to support learning at home.

About the lesson

Teaching Techniques & Methods
I use the Jolly Phonics multisensory approach, combining visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning techniques to make phonics engaging and effective. Through action songs, storytelling, games, flashcards, reading activities, and interactive exercises, children learn letter sounds, blending, segmenting, tricky words, spelling, and reading fluency in a fun and supportive environment.

Usual Structure of a Class
Each class begins with a revision of previously learned sounds and concepts, followed by the introduction of new letter sounds, blending, or spelling patterns. Children participate in guided reading, interactive activities, games, and hands-on practice. The session concludes with reinforcement exercises, progress feedback, and simple home practice tasks to strengthen learning.
