About Majidah
As a literacy coach, I do more than help children read and write—I inspire confidence in their ability to make sense of language and express themselves. I create a supportive, engaging space where children feel safe to take risks, try new strategies, and celebrate their progress. With over a decade of experience in teaching, homeschooling, and leading literacy workshops, I bring both deep knowledge and practical tools that build strong readers and writers. My legitimacy stems from years of hands-on work with children, educators, and families, ensuring that I employ research-based practices that are effective in real-life settings. Professionalism guides every interaction: I prepare carefully, communicate openly with families, and tailor lessons to fit each child’s unique strengths and challenges. My goal is not just literacy improvement, but helping every child see themselves as a confident, capable reader who loves learning.

I believe children learn best when learning feels meaningful, engaging, and connected to their everyday world. My approach is rooted in hands-on, play-based, and real-world learning rather than worksheets and rote memorization. I use manipulatives, storytelling, movement, and creative projects to make abstract concepts concrete and exciting.
A typical session begins with a quick warm-up to spark curiosity, followed by an interactive activity where the child explores a concept through play, movement, or a real-life scenario. We then reflect together, connecting the activity to larger skills, and end with a joyful challenge or game that leaves them feeling confident.
What sets me apart is that I focus not only on skills, but on building confidence, independence, and a love of learning. I don’t just “fix” areas of struggle; I equip children with strategies and habits they can use long after our sessions.
I serve early learners (ages 4–7), homeschool families, and children who thrive with an interactive approach.
I also prefer the title “coach” over “tutor” because coaching is about growth, encouragement, and empowerment—not just correcting mistakes. A coach guides, motivates, and helps children discover their own strengths. That’s exactly how I see my role: not just helping with schoolwork, but coaching children to become curious, confident, and capable learners.
