About Hannah

Hello! I'm Hannah, and I am passionate about helping students and adults reach their academic and professional goals through one-on-one, personalized support. With a master's in Education, seven years of teaching experience, and experience tutoring elementary through college-level subjects, I am a versatile tutor who can work with students in developing the necessary academic skills and strategies to be successful.

About the lesson

I specialize in SAT tutoring and the best way to improve your SAT score is by building familiarity with the test questions. I provide students with practice SAT question sets as homework and we start each session by reviewing them. I talk through each question with the student to make sure they understood the related concepts and steps for solving it. We then review the ones they answered incorrectly and I provide them with similar questions to practice the concept and required skill.

By reviewing the practice question sets with students, I am able to develop their learner profile and identify the target skills that we should focus on. With the time left over, I present the student with additional SAT practice questions based on their target skills and track their progress over time. Between our sessions, students complete practice sets and redo their missed questions from the previous week to work towards mastery of those concepts and skills.
