About Liann
My name is Liann and I'm from Ireland. My accent is very easy to understand. English is my native language and I love it! I would love to share my knowledge of the language with you.
I love to travel and volunteer throughout the world. So far, I have volunteered teaching English in Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. Through these experiences, my passion for teaching grew and grew. I have experience teaching tiny babies up to 80-year-olds!
My hobbies include SCUBA diving, freediving, swimming, hiking, travelling, reading, listening to music, dancing, watching movies, and learning new languages!
I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology where I specialised in bilingualism in adults, and a master's degree in Wildlife Conservation.
I am learning Spanish and Indonesian, and am an intermediate level in them both. I know what it feels like to learn a new language online, so I can relate to you learning English!

I believe that conversation fluency and confidence is extremely important. My classes will focus on speaking, and I will correct your grammar or pronunciation in a friendly manner. Depending on what you would like, we can discuss articles or current events. I want to make the class fun and enjoyable for you! For younger students, I have a number of fun songs to teach!
Lesson length can vary - it's up to you! But I think between 30 minutes to an hour is ideal. This also depends on the student, for children a shorter time is probably better. I am happy to take students of any age, but I prefer to teach people who have a basic level of English already.
I have a Level 5 certificate from the TEFL Academy, and have worked in a language school in Dublin, Ireland, teaching foreign adults English. I have also volunteered teaching English in Europe, Asia, and Central America, where I taught people of all ages and backgrounds.
