About Ralph John
I’m a Licensed Chemical Engineer and University Lecturer with a passion for helping students understand subjects that can sometimes feel difficult or overwhelming.
I have several years of experience teaching Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, and other engineering subjects at university level. Through teaching, I’ve learned that every student learns differently. Some need concepts explained visually, others prefer step-by-step examples, and some simply need a little encouragement to believe they can do it.
My approach is simple: make learning easier, build confidence, and keep students motivated. I don’t expect students to know everything from the beginning. I’m here to work with them, identify what they find difficult, and help them gradually become more confident and independent learners.
I also believe that making mistakes is part of learning. My lessons are a space where students can ask questions freely, work through problems without pressure, and develop a genuine understanding of the subject.
Ultimately, I want my students to walk away not only knowing how to solve a problem, but believing that they can solve the next one too.

My lessons are designed to make Math and Chemistry easier to understand, less intimidating, and more enjoyable. I focus on breaking down difficult concepts into simple, step-by-step explanations and connecting them to real-world examples so students can see why what they are learning matters.
I believe that learning is not just about getting the right answer—it’s about building confidence and staying motivated. I encourage students to ask questions, learn from mistakes, and work at a pace that allows them to genuinely understand the topic rather than simply memorizing formulas.
With my experience as a Chemical Engineer and University Lecturer, I bring both strong subject knowledge and practical teaching experience to every lesson. My goal is for students to leave each session thinking, “I actually understand this now!”
