About Joseph
I have been tutoring for about 3 years now. I have helped too many students to count, most of them contact me again after a session to thank me for their improved grade. Many of my past students have gone on to either ace their exam(s), or do far better than they had imagined, just as they hoped. These results are exactly what I aim for.

I am a 2nd year Chemical Engineering student at the University of Pittsburgh. Primarily give lessons to middle school and high school students, however, sometimes first year college students.
I aim to explain concepts in the most simple way possible without confusing students, as I know how intimidating chemistry can be. Generally, I prefer that students come to me with questions already prepared before hand, as opposed to being evaluated by myself first (with regard to time).
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the tutor.
Joey always helped his college and high school fellow students understand chemistry and other science class concepts. While he was studying for tests I frequently heard him on the phone and asked if he was finished. He said no he was helping a friend understand concepts. He enjoys explaining problems from different angles for friends that don't understand basic terms and methods. He puts others before himself and will go out of his way to help. He has a nack for detecting gaps in other peoples understanding so he shifts the teaching perspective to see if it clicks.
Joey plays a lot of baseball which is a game of failure as 3 out of 10 is considered successful in hitting. Baseball players have a competitive edge unlike other athletes. Joey has also had his share injuries on the baseball field. He does very well in baseball because he perseveres, overcomes, adapts and conquers any challenge. His success from perseverance through baseball and the injuries has helped him understand that effort and willingness to fight through any life event pays off. He has applied his never give up attitude from the baseball field into the classroom.
Joey feels a great level of satisfaction when he teaches a concept to someone. He truly feels rewarded just from the gained understanding his students obtain. Joey can be trusted to provide his commitment and undivided attention to help his students.Joey always helped his college and high school fellow students understand chemistry and other science class concepts.
