My 5-year-old daughter learnt to play chess from scratch with Alexei. He managed to keep her interested, help her develop her skills, and she even took part in her first tournament without any fear. He has a brilliant way with children and is very good at explaining.

I've been taking chess lessons with Alex once a week for about three months — and in all that time, no two lessons have ever been alike. Time during the lesson just flies by; you don't even notice it.

We analyze every game in detail — both the ones I win and the ones I lose. We also work on my questions about the puzzles on chess.com, study openings and how to develop further as the game progresses. We solve thematic exercises, and we also practice on chess training tools to develop memory. Every lesson brings something new and interesting — no routine, no monotony.

I'm 30+, and every time I look forward to my lesson like a child.

Alex is a friendly, attentive, smart, engaging, and resourceful teacher. When something works out, he supports you like a parent. When you lose and feel like giving up, he motivates you like a psychologist. I'd call his teaching method "an iron fist in a velvet glove." He believes in me more than I do myself.
