About Utku
Chess education I received:
GM Meylis Annaberdiyev: My coach who played a crucial role in all my achievements, working from scratch.
GM Djurabek Khamrakulov: My assistant coach with whom I worked on tactical motifs.
National Team Coaches: GM Georg Mohr, GM Mikhail Gurevich
My coaching career:
I started working with the Champion Chess Club in 2020 and continue my active coaching career with the Champion Chess Club. In addition, since 2021, I have been working as an assistant teacher alongside GM Meylis Annaberdiyev in the Turkey Chess Age Groups tournaments.
Achievements:
Turkish Chess Age Group Champion in 2012, 2013, 2014
3rd place in the European Schools Chess Championship in 2015
Mersin Provincial Chess Champion
In addition to these, I have represented the national team many times and was a member of the national team from 2011 to 2018. I have also won various awards and trophies in national and local tournaments.
Student achievements:
Edibe Eylül Çengel: 18-year-old Girls Turkish Runner-Up
17-year-old Girls European 5th place
Umut Üçoluk: 13-year-old Boys Turkish 9th place.
I'm not listing the achievements from the tournaments where I worked as an assistant coach, but if you wish, I can direct you to the Champion Chess Club.
In addition to this, I serve as the Vice President of the METU Chess Club, where I work on giving chess lessons, organizing chess events, and sponsorship activities.

Teaching Method:
1- Level determination: We determine the starting level to provide students with a suitable and effective lesson program.
2- Preparation according to the level: Based on the level determination, we provide opening preparation and aim to optimize the beginning of the game.
3- Chess Philosophy and Middle Game Development: We also include topics such as philosophy and knowledge of the middle game in our lessons, enhancing players' strategic thinking abilities.
4- Tactical motifs and combination studies: We present tactical motifs and combinations to students and encourage them to practice.
Assignments:
We ensure the daily practice of the athlete with weekly programs.
