About Elise
I am a dedicated Chess tutor with 10 years of teaching experience, guiding students from beginners to advanced levels. Over the years, I have successfully taught around 150 students, helping them build both skill and confidence in the game. My approach focuses on understanding the principles of Chess, including openings, tactics, strategy, and endgames, while also encouraging creative thinking and problem-solving.
I believe that Chess is more than just a game—it is a tool to develop patience, focus, and critical thinking. My teaching philosophy is rooted in compassion, integrity, and adaptability. I create a supportive and motivating environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes and learning from them. Every lesson is tailored to the student’s level, pace, and goals to ensure steady progress and enjoyment.
