About Alex
I am currently studying Economics as an Undergraduate at the University of Cambridge. I first started playing chess at the age of 5 and have never stopped since, captaining Hertfordshire County and playing for England internationally along the way. I am still heavily involved with chess at University and I have been playing on the top board for Cambridge this year! I am very encouraging and supportive in lessons and hope to spread my joy for chess and help students improve!

I teach players of all levels, with lessons being tailored to players' specific needs. We can look through opening lines, tricky middle game positions and endgame strategy to help improve your all-round play! I have also coached at the largest chess club in England for many years and have the experience to know how to teach and work on improving at the game. I look forward to looking at some chess with you soon!
