About Aaradhya
About Me
My name is Aaradhya, and I am a dedicated competitive chess player with years of tournament experience. I have competed at the national level multiple times and achieved 20th place at Nationals. At the state level, I have earned second place twice, and I have won several regional championships.
I hold a rating above 1700 in both USCF and FIDE, which reflects my strong competitive experience and understanding of the game. Through years of tournament play, I have developed skills in strategy, calculation, and practical decision-making that I now share with my students.
As a tutor, I focus on helping students truly understand chess, not just memorize moves. I break down complex ideas into clear concepts and guide students through positions so they can develop their own thinking and confidence at the board. My lessons are structured, engaging, and tailored to each student’s level and goals.
Whether a student is just starting out or preparing for tournaments, my goal is to help them improve their skills, think more deeply about the game, and enjoy the learning process.

Online Chess Tutoring – Learn to Think Like a Chess Master
My Approach as a Tutor
My goal as a chess tutor is to help students not only learn moves, but truly understand the game. I focus on building strong thinking habits so students can analyze positions, create plans, and stay confident during games. I explain ideas clearly, encourage questions, and guide students step-by-step through positions so they develop their own problem-solving skills.
Teaching Methods and Techniques
I use a mix of practical learning and interactive analysis. My lessons include:
Solving tactical puzzles to improve pattern recognition
Analyzing real games to understand strategy and decision making
Playing practice games and reviewing them together
Teaching key principles for openings, middlegames, and endgames
This combination helps students improve both their knowledge and their practical playing strength.
A Typical Lesson Plan
A typical lesson usually includes:
Warm-up puzzles to sharpen tactical awareness
Concept lesson (strategy, openings, or endgames)
Game analysis where we study an instructive game or review the student’s games
Practice play with guidance and feedback
Take-home exercises to continue improving between lessons
What Sets Me Apart as a Tutor
I focus on making chess fun and easy to understand while still challenging students to grow. I break down complicated ideas into simple concepts and adapt lessons to each student’s level and learning style. My goal is to help students become independent thinkers at the chessboard.
Who These Lessons Are For
My lessons are designed for:
Beginners who want to learn the rules and basic strategies
Intermediate players who want to improve their tactics and game planning
Students and young players preparing for school or local tournaments
Anyone who enjoys chess and wants to become a stronger, more confident player
Lessons are conducted online, so students can learn from anywhere and improve at their own pace.
