About Camilo
I am in the middle of the undergraduate program in Law at the National University of Colombia (UNAL). I also hold a degree in Spanish and Classical Philology from the same university. Moreover, I was in charge of the Latin I course at UNAL and have taught basic Latin courses to those interested in the language. Besides reading the texts, I am proponent of comunicative settings where the students have a chance to improve their speaking skills. Although I know the particulars of post-classical pronunciation, I prefer the classical variant. Apart from Latin, I know Spanish (my L1), ancient Greek and German.

My lessons focus on context and gradual exposure to Latin. Contents are presentend in the light of the Lingua Latina Per Se Illustrata. In addition, I have carefully designed a series of exclusive learning tools and suplementary material for each chapter of the book (Familia Romana). I, thus, aim to give my students the skills required to really understand and produce Latin texts rather than analysing every passage through the traditional grammatical method. This approach does not exclude the necessary explanations needed to get the gist of a text.
