About Lauren
I have been teaching all levels in piano from beginner to advanced since the age of 16, which was the age I completed Grade 8 in RIAM pianoforte. I have a Bachelor of Honours degree in Music from Maynooth University & have experience teaching both privately and within music institutes in and around Dublin. My students reach their goals in music, whether that means learning a favourite piece or by passing piano exams with honours and distinction. My students thrive on having fun learning the piano & by getting the encouragement and constructive criticism they need to reach their potential.

Lauren has been surrounded by music from an early age in her father’s piano & musical instrument shop, resulting in a natural and enthusiastic approach to her teaching. She enjoys establishing a rapport with her individual students, encouraging their ambitions and developing their abilities in a fun and focused manner. With a passion for teaching, she believes that each lesson should be tailored to the goals and interests of the student whether they are to progress through the traditional grade system or learn how to play a favourite piece of music.

How long a lesson you'd like to go for is a personal choice. Longer lessons will have more of a focus on music theory alongside pieces and scales.
