About István
I am a very open minded and approachable person with an affection towards everything classical. During my years as a student I have also realised that I love sharing knowledge and conveying enthusiasm for Classics just as much as I love studying it. I have recently graduated in Classics at the Uni of Cambridge and will continue my Classical studies at UCL. With 8 years of experience with Latin I am happy to help learners of any level achieve their goals and to explore this beautiful language, culture and literature together.

I am happy to tutor people withany level of Latinup to A level. In helping to achieve my students' personal goals I offer classes tailored to their individual needs, strengths and weaknesses. We will concentrate on prescribed texts of the examination you would sit, corroborating your pre-existing knowledge of language, to the point where you could confidently tackle challenges of vocabulary, accidence and syntax. Although Latin looks daunting and unforgiving as a language, I shape my classes in a way as to give room for intuition – there’s nothing better in learning a language than reaching a point where things just click without you fixating on memorised forms and case endings. Besides being the primary vessel of language and literature, texts offer a starting point for further investigation into a range of other aspects of ancient life. In my classes we will explore the societal, historical or artistic context of the prescribed texts.
