About Dr Joss

I'm an FY2 doctor working in central London. I graduated from University College London in 2024 with an MBBS and a First Class BSc (Hons) in Cardiovascular Science, and have recently completed a PGCert in Medical Education.

During foundation training in Bedfordshire, I held a parallel teaching role supporting medical students from UCL and Cambridge University, which included involvement in medical student selection and curriculum design for the new medical school at the University of Hertfordshire. I'm now taking up a position as Clinical Teaching Fellow in Acute Medicine with Imperial College London Medical School. I've also developed a tutoring company AuroraMedics which provides free online resources and information to help students get into medical schools.

Alongside my clinical career, I hold additional qualifications in data analysis and AI machine learning. In 2025 I interned with the multinational energy company Veolia, working on large-scale language data analysis, before collaborating with University College London NHS Foundation Trust on a new data storage model to support observational research programmes.

Having served on medical school interview panels, I have direct insight into what admissions teams are looking for. For six years I have guided applicants from around the world through every stage of the medical school application process — from personal statements and UCAS to interview preparation — offering structured, experience-led support tailored to each applicant.

About the lesson

I have extensive experience delivering online tutorials and place a strong emphasis on making sessions engaging and interactive. My teaching approach encourages students to actively problem-solve, supported by tailored guidance to help build their confidence and understanding. Perfect! I run an education agency in South Korea . I had the pleasure of introducing Dr Jossto our students. He is truly on outstanding tutor. He is always dedicated and puts forth his best efforts to provide tailored guidance and strategies for each individual student. Throughout last year, He successfully mentored international students. Perfect! Joss knows to how to excel at medical school interviews in MMI and traditional panel interviews. What stood out most was how structured the sessions were — we didn’t just “practice questions,” but broke down how to think, structure answers, and communicate clearly under pressure.
The mock interviews were invaluable as Joss would cover the answer structure (clear and logical flow) and content depth (ethical reasoning, NHS knowledge, motivation for medicine, etc ) when reviewing the performance of the interview.
Another big plus was his ability to tailor sessions to my weaknesses and to the specific universities rather than using a generic approach.
I would highly recommend Joss to anyone preparing for medical school interviews, especially if you want structured guidance and realistic practice.
