About Lily

Hello! I have always been passionate about helping students. When I was younger, I never wanted help from anyone. However, when I finally accepted help from a tutor, my whole perspective on academics shifted. The ability to work one-on-one with someone made me realize that I could succeed in certain subjects that I lacked confidence in.
I have previously tutored a large age range of local students, and I loved it. I would love to broaden my network to anyone who needs any extra support, detail, or accountability. I promise to make it as productive and fun as it can be.

About the lesson

I will be direct in my suggested edits and formatting; however, these are only suggestions! I will be strict about grammar rules. I promise that it will help you in the long run. However, I want your ideas and personality to shine through in your writing! Whether we need to work on basic English writing practice or writing a college essay, I am committed to patience, practice, and working through challenges together.

These lessons will be for the average 5th grade writing level to high school Senior level. The lesson plan is dependent on the need of the student.

For younger levels, we will work on grammar, sentence structure, and essay writing. I am happy to help with homework assignments.

For high school levels, I offer SAT prep, essay brainstorming, drafting, and editing, and help with editing college essays. I have found that it is often easier to edit one's own writing with someone who is not a friend, peer, or teacher. I am happy to be that person!

Whatever your specific needs may be, I promise you will leave our sessions feeling more confident about your English writing.
