About Shaylee

I'm a UNLV freshman majoring in Accounting, and a recent High Honors high school graduate! I'm an Asian American who has worked as a student tutor back in my high school career with sophomores, and have been helping my peers by providing different viewpoints for better understanding. Everyone starts somewhere, so don't worry I personally have been through those trenches before. My whole school career so far has been nothing but challenges left and right with the amount of honors and AP's I've taken, but I've found many ways around it. So if you’re looking to take a peek into my book of tips and tricks I’d be happy to share some of my favorites! (ദ്ദി˙ᗜ˙)

About the lesson

When it comes to teaching, I'd first like to gauge what type of learner the student is. I understand the struggles when it comes to forcing a certain thinking style, so what I find is best for math in general is giving multiple ways and letting the student find their spark! Once that spark is found, I can continue the best tutoring style for the individual, and even recommend ways that'd be best for studying after the sessions. As a recent graduate of high school, I'm qualified to teach all levels of math up to AP Precalculus, and create a welcoming environment for those who wish to improve. (˶ˆᗜˆ˵)

Perfect! Shaylee is very knowledgeable and has great communication. I met her last minute and she was still able to squeeze me into her schedule. Had a test in a couple days and aced it. I don’t think I would have done as good if it weren’t for Shaylee. seriously!
