About Mehmet
I am a private tutor who has experience in tutoring math from arithmetic to differential equations, biology, chemistry, physics, and writing to seven different clients over four years, and I am a test prep (SAT/ACT/SHSAT,etc.) instructor at TAG Academy in Queens, NY. I have taught in individual and classroom settings with a high degree of success (most students doubled their grades while some even tripled them!).

I am a college student at CUNY Hunter College with a chemistry major. I teach through engaging and funny conversation related to the focus of the lesson. At the same time I encourage thought beyond the particular problem at hand and thus improve thought and problem solving intuition. Lessons are relaxed and informal akin to a friendly chat. I mainly teach high school students, but have experience teaching 3rd-8th graders and college students as well.
