About Freya
I’m a passionate guitar educator with more than 3 years of experience and a Graduate Certificate in Advanced Guitar Studies. My teaching is centered on ear training — the most powerful skill a guitarist can develop. We’ll work on transcribing solos, analyzing songs by ear, and strengthening your pitch accuracy. I design each lesson to make learning active and engaging. You’ll train your ears through real-world practice, not just theory. My approach helps students connect deeply with their instrument and the music they love. Over time, you’ll learn to recognize harmony and melody instinctively. Perfect pitch may be rare, but precise listening can be achieved by anyone. Helping students unlock that ability is what drives my teaching every day.

I believe reading music is the key to mastering guitar. My method focuses on clarity, progression, and real-world application. Students learn standard notation, tablature, and rhythm through structured lessons. Sight-reading exercises help build fast recognition and fluency. We work on reading short phrases, full pieces, and rhythmic drills. My system supports all types of learners and goals. The Classical Purist benefits from disciplined reading routines. The Jazz Explorer thrives on flexible, ear-driven interpretation. I adapt lessons to match personal strengths and musical style. Every student receives support in building lasting skills. Reading music expands creativity and musical awareness. With patience and focus, anyone can become fluent. Together, we’ll unlock the full world of written music and make it an essential part of your guitar journey.
