About Yash
I'm Yash, a 16-year-old competitive chess player from Jaipur, currently preparing for JEE alongside my chess journey. I've been playing seriously for years, winning 1st place in my interschool championship, competing at district level, and maintaining a rating of 1800+ on Chess.com. Chess taught me discipline, patience, and how to think several steps ahead — skills I genuinely believe help beyond the board too. I want to teach because I remember exactly what it felt like as a beginner trying to make sense of the game, and I enjoy breaking that confusion down into something simple and fun for a new student. Teaching also lets me stay close to the game I love while sharing it with the next generation of players.

My classes focus on building real understanding, not memorization. I explain not just theory but also how to navigate practical positions — the situations that actually come up during play, so students learn to think on their own rather than follow fixed patterns. Sessions include a quick recap, a new concept explained simply, and a practice puzzle to apply it. My own competitive background — interschool champion, district-level player, 1800+ rated — means I teach from real playing experience, not just books, and I adapt pace to each student's level.
