About Kieran

My name is Kieran Brian. I am a Computer Science graduate from the University of Exeter who graduated in June of 2022. I am taking a year out from education to explore job opportunities before returning to education to complete my masters in 2023. I am a very easygoing person who believes that patience and exploration are the key principles of successful education. I will not lie and say I have years of tutoring experience as I do not. However, I know the value of a good tutor. Without one, I would not be where I am today and I wish to provide that same guidance to students who required a helping hand as I did.

About the lesson

Hello! I offer online tutoring, which focuses on both curricular learning (GCSE) and also tailored learning, exploring aspects of computer science and mathematics in which my clients wish to excel. I believe that practical 1-to-1 learning alongside schooling is the best way for effective and enjoyable learning. My lessons will provide students with the appropriate knowledge while applying it through engaging activities. For computer science, this may include teaching data structures, algorithm design and syntax alongside programming projects. For mathematics, this may include covering all areas of the curriculum using learning techniques which best suit my students. As a recently graduated student, I am up-to-date on the learning techniques and technologies that have helped me succeed. I wish to share these with my clients in a friendly and engaging environment where the content, speed and depth of learning are entirely up to you!

I am a BSc Computer Science graduate from the University of Exeter. While attending University, I had the opportunity to become a Peer Mentor providing guidance for new students and attempting to improve their learning experience. What I learned from my own experience with university and the experiences of those I mentored is that learning is a very personal thing where how it's effective and how it's enjoyed are different for everyone. This requires knowledgeable and patient guidance to find the approach that best suits the student. This is what I hope to provide.

My lessons best suit students studying GCSE and A-Level or anyone interested in learning essential programming and mathematics.
