About Fyodor
My name is Fyodor, and I offer a level of mentorship backed by twenty-five years of presence at the pinnacle of the music industry. My legitimacy as an educator is rooted in a career that spans the globe’s most iconic stages—from Carnegie Hall to the Sydney Opera House—and is validated by the highest authorities in music.
My professional standing is distinguished by the trust placed in me by the Rachmaninoff family, who authorised me as the first musician to orchestrate Sergei Rachmaninoff’s lost Suite in D minor. Having recorded this world premiere at Abbey Road Studios and received critical acclaim from The Times and BBC Radio 3, I bring a "living history" into the classroom. Students do not just learn notes; they learn the standards of excellence required by the world's most prestigious stages, including Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House.
My teaching is underpinned by an elite dual-conservatory education. I am a graduate of both the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory and the Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona. My teaching offers a unique synthesis of the Russian piano school traditions (Moscow Conservatory) and the refined standards of British higher musical education.
