About Anne
I am an experienced and fully qualified music teacher. I specialize in piano, keyboard, composition, theory, musicianship, music craft and aural skills.
I graduated in 1989 with a specialist music degree that combined performance, pedagogy, and the Kodaly and Orff approaches. During my four year degree at Newcastle University Conservatorium of Music, I studied advanced piano performance under the late Dr David Jones, and continued my studies with him after graduating. This key part of my studies connects my teaching lineage, through Gordon Watson, to Egon Petri and Ferruccio Busoni, a Liszt contemporary.
My students consistently achieve excellent exam results, from elementary to diploma level. Many have triumphed in piano championships and significant eisteddfod sections across NSW, such as Tamworth, Taree, Coffs Harbour, Gunnedah, Cowra, Orange, Muswellbrook, Newcastle, Penrith, and various online competitions.
I continues to keep my skills up to date. Through the years I has participated in masterclasses with Gordon Watson, Gerard Willems, Philip Shovk, Warren Thompson, Clemens Leschke, Danielle Salamon, Richard Morphew, James Muir, Gian-Franco & Natalia Ricci, Catriona Stafford, Elizabeth Jacobs, Simon Tedeschi, and Gilbert de Greeve. Recently I took professional development courses with Dr Noa Kageyama, performance psychologist on faculty at the Juillard School of Music, New York, and also with Róża Yoder, of the Chopin Academy.
I love to see students flourish and accelerate their learning through enjoyment and achievement.

Hilberts Music Tuition offers expert tuition in Piano, Keyboard, Violin, Singing and Music Theory. We also offer teacher training for student teachers who want to upgrade their skills and teach proficiently.
Beginner lessons are 30 minutes (at half the price) and we engage the child by teaching music through fun games and age appropriate music materials. We love to help students fall in love with music.
Intermediate lessons are 45 minutes, and cover advancing technique needed for these grades. Advanced lessons are 60 minutes, and extend students skills through grades 6, 7 & 8. We also offer diploma levels - please contact us for details.
We love to accelerate students progress through enjoyment and achievement!
