About Fonda
Because I spent 13 plus years gigging with just a guitar and a mic, I teach because I want to share the practical reality of what works on stage. Honestly, I find that working on barre chords, songwriting, lead guitar, music theory, scales and modes, reading tabs, rhythm guitar, reading sheet music, power chords, and strumming patterns is where the real progress happens. I have worked with 113 students to help them get comfortable on their instruments. You will find that my approach is very hands-on and focused on the mechanics of playing.

Since pacing is everything, I prefer to keep things moving so you get immediate feedback on your rhythm guitar and strumming patterns as we go. It is a bit like playing a set at a pub, where you learn to adjust your technique on the fly while applying the theory I learned during my BM Contemporary Music degree at AIM. You will find that we cover reading sheet music and tabs alongside lead guitar and power chords in a way that feels organic rather than stiff. I think you will enjoy the balance of theory and practical application.
