I like to keep my tutoring sessions tailored o the individual student, but here is a sample breakdown:
Assessment: Start by assessing the student's strengths and weaknesses in math.
Goal setting: This will help to guide the lesson plan and give the student something to work towards.
Review/Practice: Spend some time reviewing any concepts that the student is struggling with. (reviewing formulas, equations, or solving sample problems.)
New material: Introduce new concepts or skills to the student that they may not have learned yet.
Follow-up: Check in with the student before the next session to see if they have any questions or need further clarification on any of the concepts covered.
