About Nancy
Walking into a studio should feel like the familiar smell of a wooden guitar neck that has been played until the finish wears off. My teaching style is chill and encouraging because I spent 13 years lugging gear across Melbourne venues to understand the real pressure of performance.
I have guided 287 students through the basics of tuning and maintenance and electric technique to acoustic technique while untangling the mystery of chord transitions and reading sheet music. My experience covers the essential mechanics of barre chords and power chords along with ear training for better musicality. I am here to help you bridge the gap between fumbling through a song and playing with the confidence of a seasoned performer.

Sometimes the best way to progress is to stop trying to play fast and start focusing on playing clean. I personalize your path by looking at how you naturally hold the instrument before correcting any habits that might hinder your progress. My degree in Songwriting from the Victorian College of the Arts informs how I break down complex theory into digestible parts.
Over these 8 lessons we address everything from basic maintenance to nuanced ear training so you feel comfortable with your equipment. It is genuinely enjoyable to watch a student transition from struggling with basic transitions to finding their own flow on the fretboard.
