About Mia
I am a passionate Guitar tutor with over 6 years of experience teaching college students. I believe guitar learning should be enjoyable, practical, and motivating. My goal is to help students build strong skills while enjoying every step of the learning process.
My teaching style is student-centred and flexible. I understand that each student has different musical interests and learning speeds. I carefully plan lessons based on individual goals, whether students want to play for relaxation, performance, or personal growth.
I use innovative teaching methods such as song-based learning, structured practice routines, and hands-on technique exercises. Students learn chords, strumming patterns, fingerstyle techniques, and rhythm control by playing real music. I also use backing tracks to help improve timing and confidence.
Music theory is taught in a simple and practical way so students can easily apply it on the guitar. I also encourage creativity through improvisation and basic songwriting activities.
I create a friendly and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. With regular feedback and encouragement, I help college students become confident guitar players who enjoy practising and expressing themselves through music.

I teach Guitar with a focus on creativity, mentorship, critical thinking, and accountability. I believe learning music should be an exciting journey of self-expression. My lessons encourage students to experiment with melodies, create original compositions, and explore various musical styles.
Critical thinking is central to my approach. I help students analyse songs, understand music theory, and develop problem-solving skills for mastering new pieces. This ensures they can play independently and creatively.
Accountability is key to progress. I guide students to set clear goals, maintain regular practice habits, and reflect on their growth. Positive reinforcement and feedback keep them motivated and confident.
Beyond Guitar, I also teach music theory, rhythm training, ear training, and performance skills. Lessons are tailored to the student’s level, learning style, and musical interests, making each session engaging and productive.
I aim to mentor students into becoming confident, self-reliant musicians who enjoy making and sharing music.
