About Dallas
I have been writing in some capacity since I was 11, completing several short stories since then. My senior year of high school I wrote a feature film length screen play in 7 weeks, which got recognized at my graduation. I have also been recognized throughout my academic career as one of, if not, the best writers in the class, often having my work read aloud and critiqued by my classmates and teachers. I am currently working on another screenplay as well as a YA book, and am hoping to have the book published in the next 2 years.

I start with students writing a 1,000 word story about anything they want, can be fiction or creative non fiction. We then break the story down into characters, story line, locations, and other key elements of a story. We focus on each one specifically and create a story map, outline, and character charts. After that, the student, with feedback and suggestions, writes a 5-20 page short story.
