About Briar

I have been teaching Spanish to High School and College students for 9 years, helping around 150 students achieve their language learning goals. I believe learning Spanish should be fun, practical, and personalised. My teaching method combines grammar, vocabulary, conversation, and cultural understanding to create a well-rounded learning experience.

I focus on building students’ confidence in speaking, listening, and writing through interactive lessons and real-life examples. I adjust my teaching style to suit each student’s strengths and challenges, ensuring progress at every step.

Many of my students have improved their exam results, participated in Spanish-speaking events, and developed a strong interest in the language.

I am committed to guiding students with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm, making each class meaningful and enjoyable. Helping students succeed and see their progress is what makes teaching Spanish so rewarding for me.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching Spanish is practical, flexible, and creative. I focus on helping students understand and use Spanish in everyday life. I believe language learning should be simple, interactive, and goal-oriented.

Communication is at the heart of every lesson. I encourage open interaction, questions, and discussions. Grammar is explained using simple examples, and vocabulary is taught through daily situations. Flexibility allows me to adjust lessons based on the student’s pace, strengths, and challenges.

Creativity is used to make learning enjoyable. I include role plays, short stories, videos, and interactive activities to keep students engaged. These methods help learners remember concepts easily and apply them confidently.

Accountability ensures steady progress. I help students set learning goals, follow a study plan, and practise regularly. Integrity guides my teaching values, creating a supportive and respectful learning environment.

Along with Spanish, I also teach supporting subjects such as vocabulary development, grammar rules, pronunciation techniques, conversational skills, reading comprehension, writing practice, cultural studies, and exam-focused preparation. My goal is to help students become confident and independent Spanish learners.
