About Lily

I'm Lily, a dedicated and friendly tutor currently studying Civil Engineering MEng at the University of Bristol. I believe my age to be an advantage, since I have a clear understanding of the challenges and expectations students face, allowing me to relate to them easily and teach in a way that feels supportive and effective. I'm passionate about making learning enjoyable, ensuring every student feels motivated. With experience tutoring GCSE students, I bring patience and genuine commitment to each student's success.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach (for GCSE and IB students) is built around confidence, consistency and genuine understanding. Every student learns differently, so I tailor my teaching to suit each individual, helping them not only grasp challenging concepts but truly enjoy the process of learning. Having achieved the maximum of 45 points in the IB, I know first-hand what it takes to reach top grades. I focus on long-term success, by combining academic support (whether that is week-by-week or on an as-needed basis) with guidance in time management and revision techniques. My goal is to help students become confident, independent learners who feel capable both in and beyond the classroom.
