About Johnny
A full-time teacher in a Brisbane high school.
I teach Mathematics from junior Secondary to Senior Secondary including QCAA General Mathematics.
I worked as a part-time private tutor at my home, in a tutoring center, and at students' homes for over 5 years.
I tutored students ranging from 5 to 18 years old from one-on-one to over a group of 30 students.

My teaching pedagogy is strongly student-centered. The first of my first lesson is always about knowing my student. I need to fully understand his/her background and ability before I start planning my materials.
The way I teach will also be tailored to the learning style of the student. For instance, some students may prefer less talking but more guided practice while others may want more verbal explanations with real-life examples.
Patience is always my key in teaching and I strongly advocate positive acknowledgment and motivation for learning. In my perspective, motivation always ranks higher than talent when it comes to learning.
