About Nicolas

Hi I'm Nico. I am passionate about maths and physics and try to pass that passion onto students. I have A*s in all my subjects and did STEP (the Cambridge maths test). I have participated in many academic competitions (e.g international top 20 in Oxford Computing Challenge). Outside of academics I play a lot of guitar, as well as enjoying chess, football, windsurfing and tennis.

About the lesson

I'm here to help students excel in STEM. Depending on the level I will normally give interesting practice questions for students to do outside of lessons and we will either look through them together in the next lesson, or I will take it away to mark it first. I make a note of topics where students make mistakes and make sure that they understand all the content. I'm happy to support students outside of lesson time with any questions they might have.
If I think it is appropriate, I will often take students beyond the curriculum of what they need at their current level; I think the education system often fails talented students by confining them to the curriculum. I have a large spreadsheet of interesting questions and books for really passionate students. If this appeals to you then contact me and we can start with lessons.

Nicolas recently tutored me in Maths and Chemistry.

Maths was never my strong suit; however, with his help, I rapidly improved my grades and thanks entirely to him, I feel confident taking my Further Maths A-Level.

I used to get Bs and Cs in Chemistry, but thanks to Nicolas' stupendous ability to explain and summarise difficult topics into bite-sized lessons, I am now top of my class.

This year I received all 9s in my GCSEs thanks to him.

He is, without a doubt, a goat. I would strongly recommend him as a tutor.
