About Alex
I am a first-year university student in California studying physics and math. I graduated top 5 in my high school class with 5s on over 15 AP exams, including Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, and more. I also have tutored several students for the SAT Math section, and each student I taught improved at least 110 points from their first and last SATs. While I do love math and science, I also like music too :) I play bassoon and saxophone, and I love to play on the street.

My lessons are simple and informal, as I do not believe in cramming math in through harsh, soulless teaching. I find it easy to communicate with young math students, and as a person who took Algebra just five years ago, I vividly remember my own struggles as well as the tricks and tips I learned to solve/fix simple mistakes or errors.
My lessons depend on each student's needs - they could be primarily practice problems or could be mostly explaining content. I ALWAYS go at the pace of the student.
My lessons are targeted for anyone taking basic math up to Calculus 3, regardless of age or institution.
