About Georgia

I am a second year student at the University of Lincoln studying Psychology. While at University I have acted as a research assistant for two separate projects including body image perceptions and estimates and a tool to communicate with patients with Dementia and Alzheimer’s. During my time studying Psychology I achieved the highest grade in my college for the AS level Psychology exam achieving an A and in my A-levels I studied Psychology, Biology and English Literature achieving 3 B’s. Whilst studying at college I completed a Nuffield Research placement where I was placed at the University of Derby to conduct research for 6 weeks in the Psychology department which gave me vital real world knowledge of the applications of studying towards a degree such as this.

About the lesson

My teaching method revolves around the student and their needs. There is no point constantly going over something the same way if you do not understand it . I aim to be adaptable to the student whether this be teaching them with the use of a PowerPoint or instead drawing a flowchart to explain the process. Exam questions and technique is also a big part of the sessions as knowing the information is one thing and vital to success but another key aspect is knowing how they want you to answer the question.

Georgia

Georgia is an excellent tutor who helped me go from a D to a B in a matter of weeks ! She adapted the lessons to include my specific learning style and made suggestions on what revision techniques would be best for me while proving resources. She is very patient and never lets you feel disheartened, she will stick with you until you get it no matter what. She is an extremely positive person who knows the struggle and pressure of exams and as someone who has been through it all before offered me great comfort and advice. While the tutoring was going on I couldn’t wait for our lessons together and appreciated the amount of effort she offered in the lessons and as a support network. Any students looking for a knowledge rich and kind teacher have found one !
