About Sehar

As a neuroscience student at Dartmouth College, I have developed a strong academic foundation and a deep appreciation for effective learning strategies. Throughout high school, I consistently tutored students in a variety of subjects, helping them improve their understanding of course material, strengthen study habits, and achieve their academic goals. In addition to my individual tutoring experience, I founded a nonprofit tutoring organization dedicated to expanding access to educational support for students from diverse backgrounds.

Students and families can expect professionalism, reliability, and a genuine commitment to student success. I take pride in creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and challenging themselves. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to build the confidence and independent learning skills that will benefit them long after our lessons end.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is centered on patience, adaptability, and building confidence. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor each lesson to the individual's needs, strengths, and goals. Rather than simply providing answers, I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind concepts so they can apply their knowledge independently. A typical lesson includes reviewing previous material, identifying areas of difficulty, working through examples together, and practicing problem-solving strategies that students can use on their own.

What sets me apart is my experience working with students from diverse academic backgrounds and my ability to break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps. As a neuroscience student at Dartmouth College and someone who tutored throughout high school, I understand both the challenges students face and the study techniques that lead to success. My lessons are designed for middle school, high school, and introductory college students seeking support in science, mathematics, writing, study skills, and academic confidence. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them become more independent, motivated learners.
