I am a certified middle school mathematics teacher with a Master of Arts in Teaching and four years of classroom experience. I specialize in helping students build confidence, strengthen foundational skills, and develop a positive mindset toward math through personalized, supportive instruction.

About the lesson

As a certified middle school mathematics teacher with a Master of Arts in Teaching and several years of classroom experience, I believe every student can succeed in math with the right support, encouragement, and instructional approach. My goal is not just to help students find the correct answer, but to develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts so they become confident, independent problem-solvers.

My teaching approach is personalized to each student's needs, learning style, and goals. During our first lesson, I'll assess your current understanding, identify strengths and areas for growth, and develop a plan to help you reach your goals. Whether you're trying to improve classroom grades, prepare for a test, strengthen foundational skills, or get ahead before the next school year, I'll tailor each lesson to fit your needs.

A typical lesson includes:

Reviewing previous concepts and addressing any questions.
Teaching new material using clear, step-by-step explanations.
Working through guided examples together.
Providing opportunities for independent practice with immediate feedback.
Ending with a quick review and strategies for continued success between sessions.

I incorporate real-world examples, visual models, and multiple problem-solving strategies because I know that every student learns differently. I strive to create a positive, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes—because that's where meaningful learning happens.

What sets me apart is my experience as a full-time classroom teacher. Every day, I work with students who have diverse learning needs and varying confidence levels. I've helped struggling learners build strong mathematical foundations while also challenging advanced students to reach their full potential. Beyond teaching, I serve on district curriculum committees, sponsor student organizations, and coach athletics, experiences that have strengthened my communication, leadership, and ability to motivate students both inside and outside the classroom.
