About Gail
With over 8 years of experience teaching saxophone to college students, I focus on building strong technique and musical confidence. My teaching style is flexible, student-friendly, and goal-oriented. I adapt lessons to suit each student’s learning style and musical interests.
I train students in tone control, breath support, finger technique, rhythm accuracy, and performance skills. Creative elements such as improvisation are included to make learning expressive and enjoyable. I use real-life music examples to show how techniques apply in real performances.
To support progress, I use modern tools like recording feedback, play-along tracks, and structured practice routines. I also teach music theory, ear training, and sight-reading to strengthen overall musical growth.
My lessons focus on steady improvement and confidence. Whether you want to perform on stage or play for personal enjoyment, I provide clear guidance and supportive teaching throughout your journey.

My teaching methodology for Saxophone is focused on long-term progress, creativity, and responsibility. I believe every student can improve with proper guidance and consistent practice. Lessons begin with building a strong foundation through correct breathing, embouchure control, posture, finger technique, tone balance, and rhythm accuracy.
Creativity is encouraged by allowing students to explore musical ideas, learn popular melodies, and practise improvisation in a simple and guided way. As a mentor, I provide motivation, patience, and constructive feedback to help students stay confident and committed.
Critical thinking is developed by teaching students to understand musical patterns, rhythm structures, and scale relationships. Accountability is maintained through clear practice goals, regular feedback, and progress tracking. Along with Saxophone lessons, I also teach Music Theory, Ear Training, Rhythm Practice, and Performance Skills to help students become confident and independent musicians.
