About Patty
I sometimes worry that students spend more time thinking about music than actually making it. My teaching character is defined by a desire to keep things moving forward through 7 years of studio instruction.
With a Master of Music from the Eastman School of Music, I help students navigate reading sheet music, rhythm guitar, and fingerpicking techniques. We also cover tuning, maintenance, reading tabs, songwriting, and grade exam prep. Adding chord transitions, scales, modes, and power chords to your toolkit is where I find the most joy. Helping 66 students build their own sound is a highlight of this career.
